Visiting the Local Yarn Shop

Today I decided to pay a visit to my local yarn shop. Usually, I get my yarn from Michael’s craft store (employee discounts are always a plus). The quality varies, but they’re cheap-ish and the place is easy to get to.

The Enchanted Needle is a small, but quaint, little shop located on Steeles Ave West in Woodbridge, Ontario. Shelves stocked up with beautifully dyed yarns always makes me happy. I did promise myself not to be lured to bankruptcy by the siren song of pretty colours, so I only bought two skeins… I’m sorry, mom!

For those of you who are interested, today’s haul consisted of Malabrigo Arroyo yarn at 27$ a skein. The colours, a combination called “Volcan”, are a beautiful blend of reds, rich browns, and a hint of dark, warm green. They reminded me of my favourite season, Fall! Now, I just have to figure out what to make with it. I probably should have thought of that first.
